The Alndyke Aurora has once again caused major problems with television and radio transmissions, telephone and computer systems and road, rail and air traffic in the area over the past week. All satellite and terrestrial television and all radio broadcasts have suffered from the usual, near blackout interference. Roads in the area have been grid locked by the thousands of sightseers who have poured into the region. Local businesses have reported problems with computers crashing and Internet connections, although engineers at I.T. experts Togish (Technology Oh God Its So Heavy) claimed they were having no problems “We understand chaos” said Togish director Hugo Plethora. All military and civilian flights through the area were diverted due to problems with navigational equipment caused by the aurora. The Alndyke Aurora, arrived unusually early this year and seemed a little less colourful than in previous years. This spectacular phenomena is believed to caused by surges of magnetic activity due to Alndykes proximity to the Shilbottle triangle and is considered by many to be the 9th wonder of the natural world.
