Chief Needs Help
The chief of the fearsome Hulne Park pigmies, the Hoodafacarwee tribe, is seeking local people to help his tribes- men build a bridge over the Moorburn Gorge. Chief Houshe Gahn is taking this unusual step, in communicating with the “outside world”, because “wi canna deey it urn whaown balup, ha ya seen the size a wi”. The bridge when built, will take two days off the tribes monthly journey to their ancient burial grounds at the Great Crag of the Cloud and their most sacred place, The Lake of the Gulls. The chief, himself only three feet tall, said that anyone prepared to help would be invited to their annual festivities in May. Volunteers should meet with the tribe at Tuntal Willie’s old pavilion on Tuesday afternoon.
