Glanton Theft

Local landmark Stolen
Police are investigating the removal of the famous 'Glanton Pike Monument'. Erected to memorialise the wedding of Charles & Diana, the monument consisting a telegraph pole, plaque and galvanised bin lid was reported missing this morning. The monument (last seen in 1994) was unique and popular part of the Ilderton & Powburn Heritage trail. Any information as to its whereabouts to be passed to Constable Binny Snag (PC444) who can be found in Alnwick station, first Thursday of June, every other year.
