A Doctor from Detchant is under investigation by the General Medical Council, after a case of negligence was brought against him by a former patient. Doreen Crudhubby, 72, of Twizell, alleges that on an emergency visit to Dr. Mobeus' practice to have a Rice Crispy removed from her larynx, he ordered her to be sent to Turnbulls Veterinarian Surgery as she was “too ugly” for him to treat. It was after Dr.Turnbull had also turned his nose up at the prospect of treating her, that the complaint was made.
