Boulmer Heritage Bus

Plans for a heritage bus tour will give visitors a unique insight into Northumberlands premier coastal resort. With Boulmers popularity never higher, local couple Cuthy and Nellie Scuffa are all set to launch a tour of the villages attractions. Using a partially refurbished Whittle pit bus, the couple plan to run the tour daily with the exception of Wednesdays, when the bus is used to distribute contraband throughout the region. Many months have been spent planing the route so as to take in Boulmers major sites during the five minute trip. The bus will leave the Seaton Point car park heading north past the caravan site giving passengers a flavour of the surrounding landscape designed by Capt. Billy Broon. After entering the village the bus will pass the old rusty tractor, the bus shelter, a couple of cobles, the lifeboat house, the customs notice board and the pub before turning at the Longhoughton bend and heading back to Seaton Point. As well as the administration of the tour company “The Mother of all Bus Journeys” Cuthy will drive the bus and Nellie will act as conductor while providing a commentary along the route. Tickets will be available on the bus with plans to introduce a season pass and a discount package for “Friends of The Mother of all Bus Journeys”.
